B&Q UK customers can now choose loft insulation made from sheep’s wool or recycled plastic. The Home ECO sheep’s wool loft insulation is made using wool from British sheep and takes very little energy to manufacture. It is naturally breathable and able to absorb as well as release moisture keeping homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The recycled insulation is made from 85% recycled plastic bottles. Both products are non-irritant, clean and easy to use.
During 2010, B&Q UK sold enough loft insulation to insulate over 250,000 lofts.
