B&Q's 'You Can Do It' YouTube channel
In May 2012 B&Q officially launched over 100 YouTube 'How to' videos to help the nation say 'I did that'. The 'You Can Do It' channel has all the ideas and know-how for people to get started on home improvement and DIY jobs step-by-step, from fixing a new door and ideas for a deck to learning how to hang wallpaper. B&Q's staff appear in the videos, sharing their knowledge and giving expert advice; and B&Q's celebrity ambassadors Alan Titchmarsh and Kirstie Allsopp will star in films to help homeowners spruce up their garden and create a stylish home for the Jubilee summer.
B&Q used home improvement related Google searches in order to tailor the videos it produced. The top three searches included:
- How to lay a patio
- How to build a deck
- How to hang wallpaper
